Karla Schwieger-Arnold has been selected as the Crisis Center’s new executive director.

Larson fills the vacancy created by Jenny Brown’s departure in June.

Schwieger-Arnold is new to the agency, however has an understanding of fundraising, the community, other non-profit experience and the services the Crisis Center offers survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

“I am beyond blessed to join the Crisis Center team and to help continue to serve in a leadership capacity with the team.  We are all leaders,” she said.

“I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the Crisis Center.  In being involved in the community along with being the Loaned Executive for United Way, I learned about the Crisis Center’s role in the four county area of Hall, Hamilton, Howard and Merrick counties.  The mission speaks volumes on what the team does on a daily bases – the mission of this agency is,  with safety, support, education and empowerment, our community can truly work toward breaking the cycle of all lives affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.  Our team has built stronger relationships and understanding of all services in the communities for stronger partnerships.”
